Water everywhere! The roof is gone! Up in smoke!

It's not funny. It could happen to you. It has happened to your colleagues in Minnesota. What would you do if a disaster struck? We all hope that never happens, but bad things do happen to good people.

The Minnesota Alliance of Local History Museums is aware of the need for help when things go awry. To meet the needs of museums and historical societies with limited funds and staff, the Alliance created the Mutual Assistance Agreement (MAA) program. It allows many of us to band together to offer aid and our expertise at times when an organization needs it the most.

To become a participant in the MAA program, fill out an MAA Membership Form. The Alliance will send you a list of MAA participants and the phone numbers of their contact person(s). Designated regional members will serve as a local calling source. Call them to start a calling tree when you need help.
